Founded in 2014 by Ken Tai, The INKA Agency is a branding agency in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The agency is firm in its belief that the effectiveness of a brand is not just about how it is represented, but the lasting impression it leaves on the customers and their businesses.

 

Ken shared with us, “We steer new businesses to go where they want to while helping to rejuvenate any existing brand assets that a company might have. My team has a different perspective when it comes to branding. We begin each project by first understanding where a company has come from and where it would like to reach.”

 

To go more in-depth, INKA provides the following services – Brand conceptualization, corporate identity, custom branding, marketing consultation, campaign ideation, website development, systems development, social media management and analytics.

 

When asked about their main focus, Ken said, “We believe that every work that we do for our customers has to be quantifiable. What makes us different is that we focus on maximising the transformative ability of an established brand through its visual assets, enriching its internal culture and external business performance by understanding  and making adjustments to the brand at its core.”

 

Being a solo founder can get challenging, but Ken optimistically adds, “Perseverance is key. Majority of people will look the other way when faced with a challenge, but the world has changed. When asked about his decision to choose Sleek, Ken said, “I love the tagline, especially the part about ‘busy founders’! I connected to it straight away. I felt like the people there got me. I definitely identify as a busy founder and it’s great when someone understands that and has a service built around easing an important pain point I feel.”

 

With Sleek’s mailroom service, he does not have to worry about monitoring a Singaporean address from Malaysia and picking up important mail or getting it forwarded because he can just log in and can see all his mail/documents that he has received online.

 

When talking about the online platform, Ken said, “It is easily accessible and that is definitely what we founders need. I feel like Sleek completely understands business founders – we want to focus on running our business, not doing the admin.”

Next steps

When asked about the next big thing for INKA, Ken adds, “This year, we are hoping to bring our key services to Singapore because we feel like it would be a great fit for the people here. If all goes well, we will set up a base here permanently.” Ken ends it with how he and his team have set their eyes on the major corporations and are hoping to expand their client base in 2019.
